Firewood under stairs

Winter’s a Comin’

The apples are picked

Potatoes dug

The leaves all raked

And the wood all lugged.

The storm sash set in

Woolens brought out

The quilts repaired

For winter’s long bout.

Shovels are ready

Car anti-freezed

Fam’ly prepared

For Winter’s cold breeze.
