A Homosexuality “Fact Checker” for Born-again Christians

Introduction
Without question, homosexuality has become one of the most important religious, social and political issues of the 21st century. The homosexual movement has forced itself to the forefront in virtually all aspects of our society and culture, including marriage, family, church, politics, government, education, media and human rights. Therefore, I believe that it is incumbent upon born-again Christians to become well-informed about homosexuality, even though this is not a topic that is either enjoyable or entertaining. To help you get an idea of how well-informed you are, or are not, about homosexuality, I have developed this quick and easy–to-use “Fact Checker”. It will not only show you your current level of knowledge of the facts and truth about homosexuality, but it will also point you to key resources that will correct any misperceptions that you may have picked up from the liberal media or well-meaning, albeit misinformed, friends, relatives or co-workers.
User’s Guide
Below are 24 True/False Statements. Read each statement carefully, and write down your answer – either True OR False – before going on to the next statement. Do not scroll all the way down to the Correct Answers section until you have finished responding to all of the statements; that would defeat the purpose, now, wouldn’t it? With each answer in the Correct Answers section, I provide a link to an article that will elaborate on the correct answer, just in case you would like to explore that particular point more fully. Thank you, Charissa, for your comment. You have touched on the crux of the matter; I agree totally. I am reminded of Psalm 66:17-19, “I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer.” Let us all be careful not to cherish sin of any kind in our heart.
humans choose it because they love it! man loves darkness rather than the light,, the truth of God’s word about mans sinfulness and refuses to accept God’s perfect way,,, it is not easy, it is a constant battle but you have to decide if Christ is more important than your sin ! Read the story about the rich young ruler,,, that was about possessions and money,,, when it is sexual desires,,, the result will be the same, you either love Christ more than your sins or you don’t ! the ruler walked away from Christ,,, we have the choice!
Thank you for commenting, SusyQ. Please allow me to respond to some of your remarks. First, science and other scholarly studies have long since proven that no one is really “born gay” and that homosexuality is not, in fact, innate. The fact that same-sex attractions seem to develop spontaneously does not provide even the slightest bit of evidence in support of the “born gay” claim. Sexual feelings and attractions begin to develop, on average, at around age 10. This leaves plenty of time for various post-natal influences to lead to the development of homosexuality, and that is what happens. Second, your claim that 1 in 10 (10%) are homosexual was proven conclusively and repeatedly to be false over the past 20 years. I’m surprised that you are that far behind the times w.r.t. homosexuality research and are still spreading this lie. The real figure on the percentage of homosexuals is around 1.5%, based on the gay definition of “homosexual.” And third, I am quite aware that no one can publish the facts and truth about homosexuality without offending many in the gay community and being labelled a liar, a bigot and a hater. But the truth and the facts are what they are, regardless of how much anyone hates them or me. I’m continually reminded that “Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the truth.” My motive and intent is not to offend, but to educate. In doing this, my actual attitude is anti-sin, not anti-gay. It is clear to me that those who hate me do so because they do not like what I say more than how I say it. If there was a way to say it without offending, then I would say it that way.
Just what I expected. Biased remarks and untruths. An attitude to do damage to any homosexual. Homosexuality is innate and can show up at a very early age. It is estimated that 1 in 10 people are homosexual. Who in your family or among your acquaintances or friends are homosexual and that you hurt by your attitude towards them.
Thank you for your comment and question, Jack. I’m glad that you can accept the fact that science cannot prove that anyone is born gay. Regarding yuour question, I am in agreement with you that no one chooses to have same-sex attractions, and have written that in one of my articles. But the fact that no one chooses to have those feelings and attractions in no way shows that they were born that way. The average age at which people begin to develop sexual attractions is age 10, so there is plenty of time for post-natal influences of many kinds to determine how those feelings will be directed, whether toward the same or the opposite sex. And that’s exactly how homosexuality develops in an individual. This, too, is explained in one of my articles.
Science may not have proven the “Born Gay” Thing, but logic can. Why the hell would any human being choose to be constantly discriminated against for who they love by homophobic idiots like yourselves?
